Did you notice?
iNSD will be here shortly!
The first saterday of May it's (inter)National Scrapbooking Day and that means
LOTS OF FUN!!
And sales, challenges, chats, etc.
But the question is: are you ready of iNSD??
- Do you have scheduled the weekend off?
- Do you have enough wine and chocolate in the house to survive the festivities?
- Do you have a budget set?
- Do you have your wish list made?
I have blocked my agenda for the weekend with a big iNSD notice, as far as it's possible to have a weekend off.
I will be sure to have my groceries done in time. Not checked off yet though.
I haven't set a budget yet. My normal budget is $0, but I do allow myself to shop this weekend. How much I will allow myself, is something I am not decided on. I give myself a budget because I know I can go both ways: shop till I drop or don't shop enough! lol!
And about my wish list? I am working on that today! My is being painted today so I have no place to go. A perfect day for windowshopping around the web!
How to prepare for iNSD: wish list
There are a few albums I've been working on for months years. There are a few reasons why I haven't yet finished it off entirely.
- Not being in the mood to scrap certain photos
- Not having inspiration to scrap certain photos
- Not owning the right products to scrap certain photos
The first reason is foolish, I should just make myself to scrap them.
The second reason is easily fixed by spending a few hours in galleries, GSO blogs and Pinterest.
And the firth reason means go shopping! And there isn't a better moment to shop, then during iNSD.
- Most designers have HUGE sales that weekend.
- More stores have a Free With Purchase (FWP) kit for you if you spend a certain amount of money in the store, usually $10.
- Many designers give away gift certificates or coupons on Facebook in 'flash events'. They usually post a notice a little before to make sure there are a lot of people standby. The moment they post the codes, it is a first come, first serve kind of thing and within a minute all codes and coupons are used up. So you have to have your shopping cart ready, and in order to do that you have to have your wish list ready!
- Lots of new grab bags, big collections and more goodies for amazing prizes!!
So have your wish list ready. But how do you get it ready?
If you shop at only one or two stores, using the stores wish list option is the easiest way to go.
If you shop or at least look at many places, then you'll probably want to use a different system. But do add to the stores wish list too! That way it's much faster to find and add things to your cart in case of flash events!
I like to use Pinterest for a collective wish list. It's very easy to add items to it if you have the Pin It Button on your toolbar. And it's very easy to shop from Pinterest: just click the image and it will take you to the store.
There are a few things I've been looking for today.
- An aquarium kit to scrap about the Vancouver Aquarium as part of my Berniek Goes Canada album.
- Road trip elements and alpha to scrap about the road trip me and my sisters took after my stay in Canada for my Three Sisters on the Road album.
- National Park kits or elements packs to scrap the parks we visited during our Three Sisters on the Road trip.
- A nature kit to scrap our Austria holiday that we'll be taking this summer. Nature, a bit of hiking, but not camping.
- Zoo kits are always welcome! I go fairly often to Zoo Emmen which is near.
Let me show you some lovely things I saw and I plan on buying when iNSD comes around.

| And these elements would go along perfectly |
| Awesome elements to scrap our visits to communities and museum about First Nations and Native Americans |
Anything else pretty I can't resist is welcome too be added to my wish list though.
I like to note that I will not be buying everything on my wishlist!! That's not really in my budget. I haven't set a budget yet, but I just know that with my wishes I will not stay within that budget!
Want to see what else I've put on my wish list? Check it out here!
