Schooled Up collab by Mandy King and Saxon Holt

The schools have started at the beginning of this week for my sisters. Hopefully I can start a new job soon as well, maybe next week? *wishful thinking*

Mandy King and Saxon Holt have come to bring us a delicious school themed collab kit called Schooled Up! It's meant for upper-elementary/middle school/jr high... so not much "cutesy" in it. And I think that's perfect. Because most school themed kits are too kiddy, or at least too kiddy for me to use.

 

Fun, isn't it? Well here is the layout I created!

 

 

I created this layout using the kit above and a template by Little Green Frog Designs: Gibberish. Now here is the sad thing, Little Green Frog Designs is retiring and therefor we have to say goodbye to her amazing templates. But you can get any of them untill the 28th with a 50% discount on all OR you can buy her complete store for only $100! That's a steal, but I don't have the money. So I just bought a whole bunch of template packs, many of them being journaling templates because most designers are not making these and this designer rocks at them. Go check out her store.

That Summer Feeling

Saxon Holt came out of retirement with this new collab kit called That Summer Feeling. She collaborated with the lovely Mandy King and they created a very pretty summery kit. Let's have a look!

 

 

I used this kit to scrapped a photo I took the other day. It's a little tree growing in a pile of sand outside my apartment building. I called it guerilla tree because it just decided to grow there, weird stubborn little seedling.

I like this collection so much!

Mandy King update!

 Hey everybody!

 

I am so sorry for being absent on this blog for so long. I have not been scrapping a lot lately. I haven't been taken a lot of photos either. I guess the first few months are not the time of year to scrap, because last year I was in the exact same situation...

 

Anyhow, here I am posting an update on Mandy Kings current new releases 2014.

 

Mandys new Grab Bag is in the store at Gotta Pixel now. It's called Summer State Of Mind and it's full of summery items and colours!

Simple Love

 It's GGI and that means new, awesome and big collections by my favourite designers.

 

Mandy King created the Fresh Fields collection that calls out to mother nature to give us some spring! Well, here in the Netherlands we never had a proper winter and spring is definitely all around us. The sun is shining, the trees and flowers are blooming and when I came home from work one day this week, the temperature in my apartement was 21,5 degrees Celcius! Just by the sun.

 

 

The layout that I scrapped isn't very springy though. But the colours of this collection match perfectly with my new soft and warm house pants. These make me very happy and that's what I scrapped. :)

My new sofa

I bought a new sofa and I am so happy with it! I just had to scrap it.. :)

 

I used Mandy Kings grab bag which is very springy and fresh and pink. It's just really pretty and I like it as a fun break for all the wintery kits that are all around.

Spring

 It's sad to make the conclusion that we didn't have any real winter this year. I love cold and snow so I really missed something this year. But it does make it much easier to use the spring kits that are starting to arrive in the stores.

Swarovski Kristallwelten

During our holiday in Austria this summer we went also to Swarovski World. It is just stunning, all the glittering and shimmering is fabulous. The only thing less fun what the fact that it was very busy. Extremely busy with buses full of tourists.

Snowbound

 Grab Mandy Kings newest Grab Bag Snowbound now and you will be very happy. It's one more wintery kit, because we all need winter kits. I love winter kits and I hate the fact that we don't have a real winter yet right here in the Netherlands.

Yes, it's different and not very 'autumny' but I took this photo just last week and the colors just work so good together. And hey isn't it fun to see something non-themed using a themed kit or collection? It shows just how versatile this collection is!
