Layout of the day!

I never expected this, but my lastest layout: 2 swans by the evening light, has been chosen LOTD!!!
I was very surprised when I found out but sooo happy!

2 Swans by the evening light

Here is a new layout made with the kit Oo-La-La by Crystals Creations. This is a fairly new kit which I haven't worked with yet. It came out on November 4th. Its a beautiful black and white kit with very elegant elements and lovely papers.

For this layout I also used a template by RainyDayz. It's the template from the Template Sensation challenge of 16-30 nov. 2011 at Scrappity-Doo-Dah. Her designs are fairly new to the SDD store, I think they are here for maybe a month or two but no longer! She makes beautiful template though so you should really take a look!

This what I've been working on

Did you all enjoy iDSD?? I sure did! All those extra freebies, blogtrains, sales. Love it!

I am a bit behind with showing you all what I've been scrapping these last weeks. I've been very busy with school and work and haven't scrapped a lot, but if I did find some time I wasn't in the mood to upload my blog... Sorry!

I made this layout with the new collab by Crystals Creations and 3 Lil' Monsters: Scrapaholic.

A layout made for the Scrappin to the Music challenge at SDD. I love Wicked, though I've never seen it IRL before. I really want to go someday, maybe I'll go and see the Dutch version which is in the theatres now... Anyway, I love this song!

I used the beautiful collab She's All That by Mandy King and Mye De Leon.

Another two pages made with this great collab by Mandy King and Mye De Leon: She's All That. I could buy it because I earned enough challenge point in the month october at SDD and therefor received a $5 gift certificate. I've had my eye on this collab for months but it was just too expensive to buy without a good reason. Well, that coupon plus the iDSD sale made this kit within my price range and now I've got it, I love it even more! Whaha

I visit GSO - Finger Pointing at least once a week (and you should too!). I just love that blog, with only great layouts shown. I saw some pages with block stitching, and I just love that look. I was almost gonna buy some new stuff when I realised I bought a template pack with that look some time ago. So I relocated it on my HD and started scrapping. Here is the result!

I blurred the background of the picture by duplicating it, adding a Gaussian filter over the second one. I cut out my sisters and the cuitcases from the first picture and then blended the two.

And last is this layout I scraplifted from nancy47 as part of the Cardinal Mix Up challenge of november at SDD. First her page:

And here is my page, using the Sweet on September collab by Mye De Leon and Mandy King.

Monkeys

Here a layout made with a new but lovely zoo kit: Wanyama by ViVa Artistry. I was looking for a zoo kit and came across a ISO topic about this at DigiShopTalk. And there is was, so I visited the shop were it is being sold and it is on sale! There are getting rid of it, so I'm very happy that I found it in time.
Visit this great store to: The Digiscik Shop.

Here and now: school work

Here is a layout I made for the new Here and Now challenge at Gotta Pixel. You had to scrap and journal about something that was going on in your life right now. Well, here it is! You can find the translated journaling  below the layout.

I used the AAM: The Tweens collection by Trixie Scraps plus a template by Trixie Scraps, called Star Struck volume 5. Stitching from the Lovely in Lilac kit also by Trixie Scraps.
The font used is called Learning to Trust.

Journaling translated into English:For my speed bachelor of Education I have to a lot of work. Currently I am busy writing my learning socialisation report. A lovely personal report about who you are and how you came at this point. And of course specifically about my learning experiences. I thought I could be done with this within a day, but I have been writing for a week now, have already 16 pages written, but I am only half done! And now it appears that there are a lot of other things you have to include to this report also. I am really done with it, because probably it wouldn't be graded or even looked at by the teachers, so it really gives me the feeling that I am doing all of this work for nothing. Plus, this wednesday I have to give a presentation about all of this in front of my whole class who I hardly even know. And of course you have to make it fun! Sigh. I do think it's a fun assignment, but now it becomes so big and with so many stupid extras that I don't like it anymore. At all. Because there are so many other things to do also. The next task is allready assigned and need to be done and presentated before christmas. The long hours of traveling are making me very tired: fall break isn't even over yet and I'm already getting sad thinking about next week. And of course there is also my internship I do two days a week, which is a lot of fun though. Thursday I have to give my first lesson to the AKA-group and I still have to think of something for that. So yeah, it's not easy going back to school again.

Pumpkin time

Trixie Scraps is one of my favourite designers. I just love all of her kits and visit her blog at least once every week. She has a great blog, with lots of news, techniques, challenges and freebies. You should just go and visit her blog.

At the moment she is having a great challenge where you have to use a beautiful pumpkin template she's got on her blog for free. Here is what I did with it!

(By the way: joining in on the challenge, also means you join in the Saterday Show-off where you'll always get a little freebie just for joining and using her stuff!)

Autumn

Here is a layout I made using the october freebie from Dutchdots: Pumpkin Time. It's a beautiful kit with lovely colors. It's my entry to the freebie challenge at digiscrap.nl.

Yesterday I made this layout using the photo I photoshopped to make the eyes pop. I had bought this lovely kit Mood Swings by Mye De Leon some weeks ago but I hadn't found the time to work with it yet. Well, now I just did and it is a lovely collection to work with!

Eyes that POP!

Scrappity-Doo-Dah has a lot of awesome challenges. You knew that, right? Of course most of them are scrapping challenges, but some of them are not. Like the Lovebird Treasures Challenge, which is all about giving love in the gallery.
There is also a challenge called Click It! Take that picture now! And right now they have an amazing challenge, it's more a tuturial really, in which you'll be changing a picture you took and make the eyes POP! I tried it and here is my result.

Go and have a look in the forum if you too want to know how to do this. It's free!

Giant Zucchini

This is my entry to the What's on the menu? challenge of September 2011 at Scrappity-Doo-Dah. In the forum you could choose dish you liked, and after that you'd get the recipe which said how many papers, elements, etc. Here is what I came up with!

First day of school

Jellebelleke is doing something new: monday freebies! And by making a layout with this template, posting in the SDD gallery or emailing it to her, you can win a $2 coupon to her store at Scrappity-Doo-Dah! That sounds good right!? I thought so. So I joined in the fun and made this layout.

Kit used is the current daily download at SDD called Learn With Me by Inspired by Dominic Designs and Roseytoes Designs.
The template is as told by Jellebelleke: monday freebie of 9/12/11.

Visit Jellebelleke's blog and join in the fun!
